5. Brodelic
Sidecar I (1999 - Present)
In Baltimore, The Dell-Broys rule!--a ghost of generic bartime numbness
and camaraderie. This variant is an overblown irritainment excursion
in an schlock progressive rock direction, sort of, from that same
dynasty. When Dr. Stuart Mostofsky decides that it is BSI time,
Tom Boram, Neil Feather, and Bob Wagner leap into action and choose
a cultural event to be simultaneously illuminated and obscured in
an elaborately silly manner. The subjects for perversion have so
far been an unreleased Ren and Stimpy cartoon, Jesus Christ Superstar,
Sid and Marty Kroft's Lidsville, the Four Seasons, to name a few.
6. The Official
Project (1990 E.V. - 1993 E.V.)
Neil Feather and tENTATIVELY a. cONVIENIENCE co-founded this massive
Fortean aleatoric novelty-music group that changed its name for
every performance and was a crucial ralleying point for the Baltimore
experimental community. Utilizing the C.A.M.U. or cue-activated
modular unit system, this everchanging big band developed a highly
elaborate protocall for the operation of a very unique, quasi-composed
music. The group was documented through numerous cassettes on cONVENIENCE's
Widemouth
Tapes label, and has an LP released on
Wafer Face. The group also toured the US and Canada.
